'That's not how you wear a sari!' Model Rozalia Russian is accused of cultural appropriation for wearing traditional Indian attire and a dark tan to a wedding with husband Nick Russian
Melbourne-based blogger Rozalia Russian has been accused of cultural appropriation.
The model and mother-of-two, 30, took to Instagram on Saturday to share several pictures of herself sporting a sari and dark tan as she prepared to attend a friend's Indian wedding on the Gold Coast.
But while many fans praised the brunette for looking 'gorgeous', one follower took issue with the darkening of her skin tone and her donning of the traditional garb.
'She's not doing anything disrespectful. She's attended an Indian wedding in a Sari which is tradition,' the supporter blasted back.
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Rozalia for comment.
Earlier this year, Rozalia spoke with Whimn about her experiences as an immigrant to Australia.
The beauty was born in Uzbekistan, before her family fled the country with just two suitcases and $250 when she was three-years-old.
